Campbell At Night

Campbell takes on a whole new dimension at night.

I wanted to get this sign at night for a while now. I got it during the day in a previous post, but not at night. Durring the day it's blue, but during the night it's bright orange.

Another neon light!

And another Mexican restaurant!

FALAFEL KING! AYE DERKA DERKA DERKA!

After I saw Falafel King, then Sushi King, I was half expecting a Taco King or something, but I didn't see anything of the sort.

Part of Campbell

Today I went down Campell, one of the more colorful streets of Tucson. There's a wealth of signage there, too much for one day.

Another Lucky Wishbone sign, much more minimalist than the one I got a few days ago.

Here we have a sun-bleached Campbell sign, I especially like the graphic design that went into it.

This is a quaint little coin wash store sign.

This sign is perhaps the crown jewel of Campbell. It's highly stylized and very campy and one of the main reasons why I decided to do this.

For a store called "Artists At Work" I would expect a sign that was a little more "Artistic," or at-least have a sign that didn't used to say "Apartment Locators"

Here is Bookmans, not much to say about it except they have a decent sign.

First Signs

Today I went down Broadway to snap a few photos of the signs there. It was mostly abandoned stores from the economic slump in 2009-2010.

This is the abandoned Mervyn's shopping center that shutdown a few years ago. You can see the letters slowly decaying.

This is the old Circuit City that closed two years ago, although it hasn't aged as much as the Mervyn's store, you can notice decay along the edges.

This is the store front for Lucky Wishbone, a restaurant with food with so fatty, you could quench your thirst with the grease. The sign is the defining feature of this lot, and it's very distinct at night.
